Recently, the latest issue of Science journal published a research paper by Wieland Huttner's team from Max Planck, Germany entitled "Human-specific ARHGAP11B increases size and folding of primate neocortex in the fetal marmoset". The study put human gene ARHGAP11B into marmosets and found the marmosets signifcant increase in brain size and the neocortex size and number of neurons also increased signifcantly. The study showed that human gene ARHGAP11B plays an important role in the development of the human brain.
