The members of the Circle of the Association for Science and Technology of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC visited Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture for research.

In the afternoon of September 21, 2018, focusing on overcoming the difficult aim of “Accurate Poverty Alleviation“, Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST) organized the members of the Circle of the Association for Science and Technology (Circle – AST) of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) to Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture, to research the work of assistance and support with science and technology, and the training of new professional peasant etc. This activity was co-presided by Tian Wen the Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Committee of Beijing Municipal Committee of CPPCC, the member of the Leading Party Members' Group & Vice Chairman of BAST, and Li Yunfu the Secretary of Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture Committee of CPC.

The members of the Circle-AST made on-the-spot visit of some Practice Bases of Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture, such as the Livestock Husbandry Practice Area, Agricultural Sciences Popularization Exhibition Hall, and Orchid Nurture Base etc, understood its advanced concepts on education and training – basing itself in the capital of China, taking the whole country into consideration, cooperating with enterprises, and integrating industry with education. During the meeting, revolving around serving the rural vitalization strategy, the people in charge of the relevant work reported the overall situation of Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture. The members of Circle – AST thought that besides the formal education, Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture adhered to the idea of internationalization and Persification, and implemented abundant featured work of education and assistance in the fields of partner assistance via science and technology, assistance & support for low income peasants, further education for entrepreneurs of agriculture, quality improvement of the staff working in the town and village government, and training of new full-time peasants etc, which made active contribution to nurturing new talents for the new countryside construction in the capital area, and to assisting the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. They hoped that Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture would introduce much more high quality technology training programs, further give full play to its role of science popularization and education, and further contribute to nurturing high quality professionals of agricultural technology for the capital, and to overcoming the difficulty of accurate poverty alleviation.
