The meeting of the partner cooperation between BAST and IMAST was organized in Beijing.

In the morning of September 19, 2018, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST) and Inner Mongolia Association for Science and Technology (IMAST) organized a meeting in BAST, to discuss the partner cooperation and exchange. Ma kui the Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of IMAST, Rong Changping the member of the Leading Party Members' Group & the Vice Chairman of IMAST and their 3 colleagues, Ma Lin the Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group & the Standing Vice Chairman of BAST, Sun Xiaofeng the member of the Leading Party Members' Group & the Vice Chairman of BAST, and Chen Weicheng the Associate Counselor of BAST were present.

During the meeting, Ma Kui the Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of IMAST firstly expressed sincere appreciation for Beijing’s assistance and support for Inner Mongolia; he also pointed out that although Inner Mongolia had vast land and abundant resources, the difference in the aspect of economy, science & technology, and culture etc. between the capital and Inner Mongolia was still very big. He said that their main purpose of this visit was to set collaborative relationship with BAST preliminarily, get support from the capital’s advantage in the fields of talent, intelligence, academic resource, and science popularization resource, strengthen overall arrangement of cooperation; especially, he hoped that IMAST and BAST would reach an agreement of cooperation about talent exchange, education and training, science popularization, resource sharing, poverty alleviation by means of science and technology etc, so that the IMAST and BAST would play their anticipated roles for promoting the high-quality economic and social development of Inner Mongolia, and jointly promote the strategic cooperation of innovation – driven development.

Ma Lin the Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group & the Standing Vice Chairman of BAST expressed warm welcome to the visit of Ma Kui and his colleague; meanwhile, he pointed out that it had been long time since Beijing and Inner Mongolia started the partner cooperation, which had acquired achievements in the aspects of science & technology, talents and poverty alleviation; and he totally agreed the intentions of cooperation laid by Ma Kui. The two partners have reached a consensus they would further improve the cooperative mechanism, strengthen communication & liaison, and confirm the concrete cooperative intentions, so that they will jointly promote the partner assistance of Beijing and Inner Mongolia to a new level.

After the meeting, Ma Kui the Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of IMAST and his colleagues, accompanied by Sun Xiaofeng the Vice Chairman of BAST, visited the theme exhibition hall of “Life, Live and Survival” and the Exhibition of Science & Technology Innovation Achievements in the Capital of Beijing Science Center, and listened to the relevant introduction of He Suxing the Director of Beijing Science Center. Ma Kui was complimentary about the achievement of construction of Beijing Science Center, and hoped that IMAST and BAST would further strengthen exchange and cooperation focusing on the dissemination of science thought and science method, on the innovation of science education style, and on the construction of science & technology venue.

The leaders of the Science Popularization Department IMAST and Science & Technology Museum of Inner Mongolia, the Inner Mongolia Youth Science and Technology Center of IMAST, the Beijing Youth Science and Technology Center, and Personnel Department of BAST participated in the meeting.
