The standing members and members of BAST 9th Committee visited and researched the construction site of Beijing new airport.

In the morning of August 23, the standing members and members of the 9th Committee of Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST) visited & researched the construction site of Beijing new airport. More than thirty people including Tian Wen the member of the Leading Party Members' Group & Vice Chairman of BAST, the standing members and members of BAST 9th committee, and the staff of the inner sectors and public institutions of BAST were present.

At the headquarter office of the construction of Beijing new airport, the standing members & member of BAST 9th Committee visited the exhibition of the plan of Beijing new airport, watched the relevant propagation video, and examined the under-construction main building on the spot. Beijing new airport is the important landmark of the capital city, integrating the intelligence of civil aviation of a hundred years development, comprehensively demonstrating the latest fruits and highest level of independent innovation of Chinese civil aviation, realizing the whole-process coordinated operation of aviation & land-service, the open-style design of blocks and the innovative plan of terminal buildings; all the participating units and people are ably making it a global level smart airport, environment-friendly airport, sponge airport and culture-enriched airport.

After visiting the under-construction new airport, the standing members and members of BAST 9th committee generally think that the design concept of the new airport is advanced, the layout of the affiliated constructions are scientific, the main building is magnificent, and the building work is impressive. They expressed that, as a member of BAST committee, they would firmly remember their mission, actively take their responsibilities and fulfill their duty willingly, further familiarize themselves with the developing situation of economy & society of the capital, give fully play to the function of bridge & tie as hub organizations, actively make suggestions & ideas for the construction of the capital, further unite and lead the vast numbers of science and technology workers, and contribute their intelligence and support to the construction of national science and technology innovation center and global level harmonious metropolis.
