The 2019 China-Europe Intelligent Industry Development Forum and the 1st China (Liuzhou) International Intelligent Industry Expo were held in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from July 26 to 28.

The forum was held by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. More than 300 guests attended the forum and carried out in-depth discussion on industrial international cooperation, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, digital technology, smart logistics, and vocational education.

The expo had set up five exhibition areas: International Exhibitions, Large Enterprise Exhibitions, Smart City Exhibitions, Industrial Internet Exhibitions, and Smart Manufacturing, covering fields such as big data, industrial cloud, IoT, smart grids, industrial robots, smart equipment, 3D printing, UAV, rail transit, new energy vehicles, industrial design, medical equipment, and artificial intelligence.

More than 100 foreign exhibitors from 30 countries and regions including Germany, Britain, France, Italy, United States, and Singapore participated in the exhibition. Well-known domestic enterprises also took part in the expo, including Huawei, ZTE, China Mobile, DJI, SenseTime, Shanxi Oriental Material Handing Co, Guangxi Construction Engineering Group, Guangxi Automobile, Liugong Machinery Co, and Hanbon Sci & Tech.

In the first half of 2019, China's total import and export value to the EU was 2.3 trillion yuan ($334.35 billion), an increase of 11.2 percent. Strengthening industrial cooperation between China and EU is considered to be both a need and a general trend.

Many enterprises in Guangxi signed cooperation agreements, MOUs, or letters of intent with companies from home and abroad at the forum and expo.
